Individual Counseling

Individual Counseling Sessions are 50 to 60 minutes in duration and can focus on a variety of concerns and themes including:

Adjusting to changes or transitions Trauma Abuse Self Esteem Depression

Personal Growth Grief and Loss Managing Stress and Anxiety Relationships

I incorporate an eclectic blend of counseling theories into my practice seeking to adjust my approach to best meet each client's unique needs.  I think of counseling like "team work."  My role as the counselor is to aide my client in tuning in to their inner wisdom that we as people so often struggle to hear as we get bombarded by the many demands of our daily activities and interactions.  My goal is to help my client "unlock" their innate ability to grow and heal.  The client's role is to reflect upon the content and meaning of the work done in therapy; putting into practice the insights gathered through counseling as they take the steps toward change and accomplishing their goals.
I charge $60 per individual counseling session and offer a generous sliding fee scale (as low as $30 per session) to accommodate financial need whenever possible.  I do not accept insurance payments at this time.
